Nikkie Langsy, OTR/L

Nikkie is a registered occupational therapist, certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. She graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelors (B.S.) in Family Community Services. Throughout school, she volunteered with an adaptive physical education program for children with various diagnosis such as Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, and Autism. She also volunteered at a Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) summer camp and assisted children with hemiparesis. She went on to pursue her master’s degree in occupational therapy at Winston-Salem State University. She had an opportunity to complete her clinical rotation at Levine Children’s Hospital where she was able to work with infants and their families in the NICU, as well as treat children with developmental delays, various heart conditions, traumatic brain injuries, Spinal cord injuries, cancer, genetic disorders, orthopedic conditions, etc. She is passionate and dedicated in providing client-centered care to help children reach their full potential. She also believes in collaborating closely with families and creating an individualized treatment plan to fit every family’s unique needs. During her free time, Nikkie enjoys spending time with her family and her cat named Mochi, reading, and exploring new hiking trails.
