Rekha is a graduate of the OTA program at Rutgers University in New Jersey in 2017. While in New Jersey, she worked with children in a school based setting who ranged from 3 years old to 11 years old covering various conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Developmental Delays, and Sensory Processing Disorder. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to start her master’s graduate program in Occupational Therapy at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in Concord, North Carolina. She also works with Autism Charlotte in the Extended Learning and Developmental after school program, which helps students pursue social and academic means. She enjoys working with children because it allows her to be creative and thoroughly engage in the foundation of a child’s growth. Outside of occupational therapy she loves to travel, volunteer, take walks, cloud gaze, and play plenty of board games with family and friends!
